Tomei, Jackson board 'Inescapable'
Marisa Tomei and Joshua Jackson are joining Alexander Siddig as the leads in the indie thriller "Inescapable." Film will be directed by "Cairo Time" writer-director Ruba Nadda, who also wrote the script. It will be produced by Daniel Iron ("Edwin Boyd," "Cairo Time") with Lance Samuels ("The Bang Bang Club"). Christine Vachon of Killer Films, Kirk D'Amico of Myriad Pictures and Mark Slone of Alliance Films are executive producers. Alliance Films will also distribute "Inescapable" in Canada. Project is the story of a Syrian expatriate (Siddig) whose journalist daughter goes missing in Damascus. He must return to his homeland to find her despite the risks and calls on a former love (Tomei) to help him. An embassy official (Jackson) is at first helpful but may have an agenda of his own.
